Cowdray Walled Garden Spring Wedding

Claire and Dave got married at Cowdray Walled Garden, on a sun-drenched Spring day. With gorgeously rustic rooms for the ceremony and reception and a large walled garden with incredible views, it really is a fantastic wedding venue.

We started the day at the Angel Hotel in Midhurst, where Claire and her bridesmaids were getting ready. We had barely entered the bridal suite when we were greeted with the question "Do you like my hair?!" by the adorable flower girl. A great ice-breaker, but it wasn't needed as everyone was so relaxed and welcoming throughout the day.

There were lots of memorable moments, with personalised vows exchanged under a bough of flowers, a designated pie server on each table (the chosen guest had to fetch the pie from the kitchen, returning complete with chef's hat and apron to much applause and laughter)and a challenge to open the champagne for the toasts.

All in all it was an amazing day, with a barn dance thrown in for good measure. Who doesn't like to partake in a bit of doe-c-doeing?

Anyways here's a few more photos for you to peruse:

Shooting with me on the day was the lovely Jade Farr. Keep an eye out for her website which will be launching shortly.
