Love Film

If you are planning a vintage style wedding on a budget, but are keen to capture every moment then a great idea is to ask a friend or two to download the 8mm App on to their iphone/ipad and capture your wedding in true vintage style.

The more time-consuming part is the editing of any clips to create a masterpiece, but hopefully your friends will be so in awed by all the great footage that they’ll want to donate their time to present you with a wonderful wedding gift.
When Emma got married this summer my husband and I captured parts of the day. I then (ahem - painstakingly) edited the footage to sync with Emma’s entrance song. I was pretty pleased with the end result. What do you think?

Wedding Addicts Anonymous

We're Rose Tinted Days. And we are weddingaholics. Ahhem.

When you're wedding obsessed what do you do after your big day has long passed and all your close friends are either married or only in the first flush of a relationship?

Becoming wedding photographers is one way to fill the void, but with no weddings for a little while a fix was needed.

In stepped the lovely Lula of The Golden Afternoon Tea Company, who asked for a helping hand on a wedding she was catering and styling with her vintage china, tablecloths and other gorgeous goodies.

So yesterday saw me serving tea and cake whilst ogling over the bride's gorgeous vintage dress from the fabulous Fur Coat No Knickers.

The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the Union Chapel in Islington. A great venue for any DIY-ing London based brides-to-be!

Here's a few snaps of the set up to tantalise your taste buds.

Mmmm scones....

Ready & waiting
Let's go!

Sneak Peek: Marvellous Mod Wedding

It was a rather grey August morning, and an early one at that when Nicki & Andy tied the knot at Brighton Town Hall at 9am!

Despite the early start and grey skies we were brimming with excitement, for this was a secret elopement wedding. Yes, the lovely couple were getting married with only a few souls in know. How romantically amazing.

And further adding to our excitement was that they were doing it in style. Mod style to be precise! And boy did they both look fantastic.

So as promised here's a few photo's from their marvellous mod wedding.

Letting their friends and family know!

Real Vintage Weddings

Well, where to start our sojourn into the blogging world? Well as we’re wedding photographers with a vintage style where better than taking a look at real vintage wedding photos?
My parents got married in a registry office in July 1974. They were young and in love; to me quickly nipping down the registry office when you're barely engaged is very romantic, especially if you side step the fact that my mother had aspirations to be a shop girl and her visa would only allow her to work as an au pair or cleaner.
My mum wore a cheesecloth dress and her bouquet was purchased en-route to the ceremony.

Unfortunately all the photos they have of their day are slightly out of focus. So even if you are nipping down the registry office make sure you have someone with a steady hand to take your wedding photos!
